Being a fairly new family photographer in McKinney TX, I am always on the lookout for new places to hold outdoor sessions. At the end of last season, I discovered Wintergreen Tree Farm in Van Alstyne, TX while out on a drive. I was thrilled to meet the owners and discover they take such pride in their beautiful farm. Unfortunately, I also happened to meet them on the very last day they were open for the year.
When it came time to schedule fall mini sessions this year, I didn’t wait–I called to book immediately. The owners were so wonderful to work with, even offering suggestions on where to set up to capture the best fall colors in the background. Since the Christmas tree farm has fairly unfiltered sunlight, I would definitely recommend trying to book early and grabbing one of the last sessions. This beautiful family was my last session of the afternoon, and they were such a dream to work with. We were able to play with some of the gorgeous golden light as the sun started to dip lower in the sky. They were so natural in front of the camera, I just got to sit back and enjoy capturing these beautiful interactions unfold.

They are located in Van Alstyne, TX, about an hour north of the heart of Dallas off of Highway 75. In the fall, they offer a fall festival with a hay ride, pumpkin patch, pallet maze and pumpkin painting.
