When I was a little girl, I wanted only one thing…big, beautiful curly hair. And a castle. So two things. And maybe a pony. 3 things, but not asking too much, right?
Sadly, the castle and the pony were not to be, but I would have happily settled for just the curly hair. Instead, I was bald…until I was 4. And once my hair did finally grow in, it was straight, thin and didn’t want to grow past my shoulders. Needless to say, ever since my childhood dreams were crushed, I have been a bit obsessed with amazing hair. Not on me–I have made peace. But I will happily photograph those individuals more blessed than me all. day. long.
I *maaaay* have squealed and done a happy dance when I found out I would get to photograph sweet little Jana. And come on. Look at this beautiful girl. Don’t tell me you wouldn’t have done the same. We met for a gorgeous golden hour photo session in the heart of McKinney, TX, and I had the pleasure of discovering that the best part of Jana is not her signature curly locks, but her sweet, sweet spirit. I loved every minute of our session together.
Jana, it was such a pleasure getting to meet you and take your picture. You are every bit as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside, and THAT is what makes you such a joy to be around!
Oh, and any time you feel like having your picture taken, I will be the embarrassing person in the back waving frantically and shouting ‘Pick me! Pick me!’, haha!
